About me

Hi, I’m Łukasz Tazbir, a dog trainer and behavior enthusiast originally from Poland, living in Sweden since 2012.

My Training philosophy whether it’s daily obedience training or competitive dog sports, my approach focuses on building a strong relationship and partnership with the dog. It is my job to make a dog want to work with me and truly enjoy it. There is no single universal method for dog training; the art lies in finding the right approach for each individual dog at the right time. If you’re looking for a dog trainer in Sweden who values positive relationships, effective techniques, and tailored solutions, you’ve come to the right place.

My passion for dog training and canine behavior began in 2009 when I adopted a dog (Kromka) from a shelter. She was a German Shepherd mix with severe socialization issues—afraid of almost everything in the city: trams, trains, even a plastic bag swaying in the wind.

Helping this dog overcome her fears was my first challenge, and I quickly realized I lacked the knowledge to solve it on my own. After completing a basic obedience course, I wanted to learn more. In 2011, I enrolled in an instructor course at the renowned Alteri Dog School in Poland. The course lasted three months and included extensive theory and practice. Out of 12 participants, I was the only one to pass the final exam on the first attempt.

From there, my interest in dog training and canine behavior only grew. I attended numerous seminars, workshops, and advanced training courses. Thanks to consistent work, my dog learned to live confidently in the human world—and we even went further, exploring new challenges such as dog sports.

Although Kromka wasn’t young or built for sports, we tried Rally Obedience (Rally Lydnad). In 2012, after moving to Sweden, we began competing and reached Level 3 (Advanced), which was a huge achievement considering where we started.

In 2015 I completed another dog training intructor course in Sweden, after which I did lead basic obedience dog courses. More recently I held a group for dogs with behavioral problems (fear, aggression).

Four years ago, I welcomed a German Shepherd into my life with a clear goal—dog sports. That’s when I discovered IGP (Schutzhund). I was fortunate to meet my mentors, Patryk Krajewski and Maja Dobrzyńska from DogUp Sport Team Poland, internationally recognized competitors and multiple-time national champions. They continue to guide me on my sporting journey. Today, I’m actively training and preparing for IGP exams and competitions.
